Wartime rank?

[edit]

In February 1941, Bradley was promoted to (wartime) temporary rank of brigadier general...

But America wasn't at war until December 1941. Valetude (talk) 16:36, 29 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect caption / dating on Louisiana Maneuvers photo?

[edit]

The caption of the photo under the Louisiana Maneuvers sections reads:

"Lesley J. McNair listens as Omar Bradley, 82nd Infantry Division commander, explains a scenario to McNair at the Louisiana Maneuvers"

According to this article, Bradley became commander of the 82nd Infantry Division in 1942. According to the article on the Louisiana Maneuvers, the maneuvers were held in 1941. If both are correct, then Bradley was not yet commander of the 82nd ID during the maneuvers, so what's the deal here? 80.98.220.157 (talk) 12:48, 16 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
